The Shoppers page helps you understand who is browsing, chatting, and buying through your store. Each shopper profile combines identity, site activity, conversations, email engagement, commerce history, and inferred buying signals when those data points are available. Use Shoppers to find high-intent visitors, review what led to an order, inspect a shopper’s recent journey, and connect duplicate profiles into one view.
Visible personal information, order details, and conversion data depend on your workspace permissions and the data Remark receives from tracking, conversations, and integrations.

Shopper profiles

A shopper profile is Remark’s vendor-specific record for a visitor or customer. A profile may start as an anonymous visitor and become more complete as the shopper chats, shares contact information, browses products, or places orders. Profiles can include: Some fields are intentionally blank until Remark has enough signal to populate them.

Search, filter, and sort

Use search to find shoppers by name or identity signals. Use filters to narrow the list before reviewing a profile. You can sort by name, last seen, top category, browsing location, device type, language, or intent.

Profile drawer

Select a shopper to open the profile drawer. The drawer includes profile context, activity, insights, and attributes for the selected shopper. From the drawer, you can:
  • Copy a direct link to the shopper profile
  • Move to the previous or next shopper in the current list
  • Open the shopper’s conversations when the profile has an email address
  • Merge duplicate shopper profiles

Activity feed

The activity feed shows recent shopper activity in reverse chronological order. Use the segmented filters to review: Conversion activity appears as an order event with order number or external ID, platform, order total, and item summary when those fields are available. Email activity can include Remark follow-up email status and marketing engagement such as opens, clicks, bounces, and unsubscribes.

Insights

The insights view summarizes what Remark has learned about the shopper. It can show:
  • A generated shopper summary
  • Confidence-ranked insights
  • The activity that supports each insight
For example, insights might show that a shopper is shopping for their mom, interested in gold necklaces, or comparing products in a specific category. If there is not enough signal yet, the profile shows that Remark is still learning about the shopper.

Purchase intent

Purchase intent is a low, medium, or high signal that estimates how likely the shopper is to purchase from your brand. The score is derived from observed activity and displayed as both a label and a trend chart. Use intent alongside the rest of the profile. For example, a shopper who just purchased may have lower intent even though they have abundant recent activity.

Merge shoppers

Use Merge shoppers when the same person has duplicate profiles. The merge dialog lets you choose another shopper, preview the combined profile, and merge them into a single record. Merging preserves activities, conversations, and attributes from both profiles. Use this when duplicate profiles split a shopper’s history across multiple emails, sessions, or identifiers.

Conversions

A conversion is an order or purchase record associated with your workspace. In the Shoppers timeline, conversions explain what a shopper bought and when. Conversion records can show:
  • Order number or external ID
  • Customer email when known through the attributed conversation
  • Conversion date
  • Total
  • Attribution status or method
  • Item quantity
Open a conversion to view order details. The drawer can include: Interpret conversion attribution as the relationship Remark detected between an order and shopper interaction. A conversion can be not attributed, attributed by a specific method, or unattributed from chat after review. Order detail completeness depends on the purchase event or commerce integration that supplied the data.

Data sources

Shoppers becomes more useful as Remark receives more shopper activity and commerce data.
  • Use Getting Started to install customer event tracking for product views, purchases, category views, searches, and cart changes.
  • Use Product Import so product IDs in shopper activity can resolve to product names, images, and URLs.
  • Use Inbox to review the conversations behind shopper activity and conversion attribution.
  • Use Playground to test agent behavior with a known shopper context.
  • Use Klaviyo to bring marketing email engagement into shopper profiles.
  • Use Custom Integrations when order, customer, support, or commerce data needs to come from a non-standard platform.
  • Use the API dashboard statistics for revenue and conversion-rate reporting, or session and order data for shopper-level order details.
