Your conversation history is private to you. Other team members can’t see your conversations.

- On Message feedback, select Ask Remark to help on an unresolved negative feedback item.
What Ask Remark can do
Ask Remark answers questions about your workspace and makes changes in the areas below. Each area needs the permission shown. “Every team member” means the task is part of the baseline access described in Team member permissions.
Areas that depend on a workspace setting, such as the Encyclopedia and Workflows, work in Ask Remark when they’re enabled for your workspace. Ask Remark reads Playground chats but can’t start a chat, send test messages, or leave feedback. It doesn’t publish Encyclopedia articles, so new and edited articles stay drafts until you select Publish.
Ask Remark can also answer questions about Remark from this documentation, search the web, and read web pages you link to. To share a file, select Attach file, drag the file into the message box, or paste an image. Ask Remark accepts PDF, PNG, JPEG, WebP, GIF, text, Markdown, CSV, JSON, XML, Excel, and Word files up to 128 MB each, and it can analyze spreadsheets and data files.
Approve changes
Before Ask Remark saves a change, it pauses and shows a card that starts with Ask Remark wants to perform and lists each change. The card names the record it will change and, where it can, shows the current value next to the new one.- Select Approve all to make the changes.
- Select Reject all to cancel them.
- Type a new message instead to reject the changes and tell Ask Remark what to do differently.
- Creating an empty workflow from outside the workflow editor. Each step Ask Remark then adds still needs your approval.
- Testing a workflow. As with the editor’s Test button, most steps return their mock output, but HTTP
GETand Transform steps run for real. - Suggesting an Encyclopedia edit or flagging missing information. These create suggestions for you to review.
Reference articles, intents, and other objects
Type@ in the message box to search your Encyclopedia articles and intents by name. Select a result to add it to your message as a chip. If you type @ with nothing after it, the articles and intents you opened or discussed most recently appear under Recent. Archived intents and deleted articles don’t appear.
On Message feedback, selecting Ask Remark to help adds the feedback item as a chip and starts the message “Help me resolve this feedback:” for you to finish.
Ask Remark opens the full article, intent, or feedback item behind each chip before it answers, so you don’t need to paste its contents. Write the rest of the message around the chip to say what you want done with it, such as “compare,” “shorten,” or “find what’s missing.”
Ask Remark also knows which dashboard page you’re on and which record is open. On an intent or article, a message like “summarize this” refers to the record on screen.
Permissions
Ask Remark runs every lookup and change as the signed-in team member, with that member’s permissions. Approving a change doesn’t grant extra access. If your role doesn’t include a permission, Ask Remark can’t use it either, and it tells you which permission the task needs. For example, a staff member with only the Conversations permission group can ask Ask Remark to summarize this week’s conversations. If they ask it to rewrite an intent, the change fails, because editing intents needs Knowledge & AI content. Owners and admins have every permission. To change what a staff member can do, see Team member permissions.Write good prompts
Ask Remark works best when you name the record, the outcome, and any limits. Use@ to point at the exact article or intent. Attach source files or paste links when Ask Remark needs your content. For a change that spans several records, ask for a plan first and approve it before Ask Remark starts.
After Ask Remark creates or edits an intent or article, test the result in the Playground before turning it on for live conversations.
