# Product reviews

> Connect Okendo, TurnTo, or Yotpo so Remark imports your product reviews and drafts review summaries.

Remark's review integrations import published product reviews from Okendo, TurnTo, or Yotpo. Remark uses those reviews to draft [review summaries](/dashboard/reviews.md), which your team edits and publishes in the Remark dashboard.

## What syncs

Each integration imports the review rating, title, text, reviewer name, and verified-buyer status. The platforms differ in what else Remark imports and how Remark matches reviews to products:

| Platform | Also imports | Product matching |
| - | - | - |
| Okendo | Approved reviews, visible photos and videos, and rating attributes such as fit or quality | Okendo's Shopify product ID must match a product's external ID in Remark. The variant ID is a fallback. |
| TurnTo | Photos, videos, language, and rating dimensions. Includes reviews shared through TurnTo catalog relationships and leaves out syndicated reviews. | Each product's and variant's external ID must match a TurnTo catalog SKU. |
| Yotpo | Images and answers to custom review questions. Includes reviews shared through your Yotpo product groups and leaves out syndicated reviews. | Each product's and variant's external ID must match a Yotpo product ID. |

External IDs come from your commerce platform or your [product import](/guides/product-import.md). Remark skips reviews for products it can't match.

Rating attributes, rating dimensions, and question answers appear as **Customer answers** on a product's **Reviews** tab.

## Before you start

You need:

* The **Integrations & products** permission. For details, read [Team member permissions](/dashboard/team-member-permissions.md).
* Products in Remark with IDs that match your review platform
* Credentials for your review platform:

| Platform | Credentials |
| - | - |
| Okendo | **User ID** and **Password** for Okendo's API |
| TurnTo | **Site key** and **Auth key**, or an **Access token** |
| Yotpo | **App key** and **API secret** |

A workspace can connect one account on each platform.

## Connect a review platform

1. Open **Settings > Integrations** in the Remark dashboard.
2. Under **Other integrations**, find **Okendo**, **TurnTo**, or **Yotpo** and select **Connect**.
3. Enter your credentials and select **Connect**. Remark tests them before saving. If the test fails, Remark shows the reason and doesn't install the integration.
4. On the connected integration, turn on **Sync reviews** and select **Save**.

Review sync starts off, so Remark imports nothing until you complete step 4.

Each platform has its own field rules:

* **Okendo**: The **User ID** identifies your Okendo account and can't change after you connect.
* **TurnTo**: Enter a **Site key** and **Auth key**, or leave both empty and enter an **Access token**. Enter the token without the `Bearer` prefix.
* **Yotpo**: The **App key** identifies your Yotpo site and can't change after you connect.

To connect a different Okendo account, TurnTo site, or Yotpo site, contact `support@remark.ai`.

## When reviews sync

Remark starts an import when you save with **Sync reviews** on, then imports again once a day. Each import adds new reviews and updates changed ones. Remark then refreshes ratings and review counts and drafts summaries for affected products, as described in [How summaries are generated](/dashboard/reviews.md#how-summaries-are-generated).

Saves and daily imports skip products Remark already imported that day. For Okendo, changing the password or turning **Sync reviews** back on starts a full import right away.

Yotpo can take up to three hours to show recent review changes to Remark.

Turning **Sync reviews** off stops future imports. Reviews Remark already imported stay in Remark and keep supporting your summaries.

## Request a manual sync

A manual sync reimports every product, including products Remark already imported that day. Request one through the [GraphQL API](/api-reference/introduction.md) with an API key from a user who has the **Integrations & products** permission:

```graphql theme={null}
mutation {
  syncYotpoReviews(input: { vendorId: "your-vendor-id" }) {
    userErrors {
      message
      code
    }
  }
}
```

For the other platforms, use `syncOkendoReviews` or `syncTurnToReviews` with the same input.

* If **Sync reviews** is off, the mutation returns "Enable review sync before you request an import."
* If a sync is already queued or running, Remark keeps that sync and ignores the new request.

## Update credentials

Open **More options** on the integration, select **Manage connection**, enter the new credentials, and select **Connect**. Remark tests them before saving.

For TurnTo, use credentials for the same TurnTo site. A different access token requires a new integration.

## Troubleshooting

### Credentials are rejected

Check the error Remark shows when you select **Connect**:

| Message | What to check |
| - | - |
| Okendo rejected these credentials. Check the user ID and password. | Confirm both values with Okendo. |
| Yotpo rejected these credentials. Check the app key and API secret. | Confirm both values with Yotpo. |
| TurnTo rejected the site key or auth key | Confirm both values come from the same TurnTo site. |
| TurnTo rejected the access token | Confirm the token is current and has no `Bearer` prefix. |
| TurnTo does not allow access to this API endpoint (code 222). | Ask TurnTo to allow review API access for your site. |
| The TurnTo site is inactive. | Reactivate the site with TurnTo. |

### The site or store requires a new integration

Each integration connects to one Okendo account, TurnTo site, or Yotpo site. To switch, contact `support@remark.ai`.

### No reviews appear

1. Confirm that **Sync reviews** is on and saved.
2. Confirm that product IDs match, as described in [What syncs](#what-syncs). Okendo matches Shopify product and variant IDs only.
3. Wait for the next daily import, or request a [manual sync](#request-a-manual-sync).

Once reviews arrive, the **Products** page shows **Sort by reviews**, and each reviewed product's **Reviews** tab shows its review count.

### Recent reviews are missing

Saves and daily imports skip products Remark already imported that day, and Yotpo can delay recent changes by up to three hours. Request a [manual sync](#request-a-manual-sync) to import again.

### A deleted review still appears in a summary

Reviews you delete or unpublish in your review platform stay in Remark. Open the product's **Reviews** tab, select **Override generated content**, select **Remove** next to the review, then save and publish.
